At the same time, he studied Architecture, graduating as an architect from the University of Florence in 1992 with the thesis "History of the Construction Systems of Upholstered Furniture".
In 1994, Stefano and Raffaele founded the ARKA studio.
In 1997 they won first prize in the "Esaedro Competition" with a product (a compactable armchair), awarded and recognised at the Interzum fair in Cologne by a jury chaired by Rolf Benz.
Stefano received the "Best Products Presented" award at the Birmingham fair for two consecutive years: (NEC) 2005 (mod. 371) and 2006 (mod. 434). The products were developed in collaboration with Incanto Divani.
In 2012, Stefano Bonavita (ARKA Studio), in collaboration with Cotta Collection, received the Best Product award at the Poznań Fair with the "Resort" model.
In 2021, with a product developed in partnership with Creation (mod. 844), he received the Most Innovative Product award at the Esprit Meuble fair in Paris.
Stefano Bonavita currently works with several prestigious companies, including Egoitaliano, Creation, Max Divani, ItaliaLiving and Suffa.
